Established on June 14, 1775, by the Second Continental Congress, the Continental Army was a means for the 13 unified American colonies to fight the forces of Britain. From the first skirmishes at Lexington and Concord to the Civil War to the liberation of Nazi-controlled Europe, American Soldiers are celebrated for their vigor and bravery in combat.
