You don’t have to wear the uniform to feel the weight of war. If someone you love came back from deployment and never truly came all the way home, you already understand what this shirt stands for.

Veteran mental health is one of the most urgent and overlooked issues in this country. PTSD, anxiety, depression, and survivor’s guilt don’t always show up in obvious ways, but they’re there. And the numbers are staggering. According to the VA, more than 22 veterans die by suicide every single day. Fewer than half of those who need help ever receive it. The scars they carry aren’t always visible, but they’re just as real.

The T/HERE series was created to shed light on the struggles veterans face after combat, not just for those who served, but also for those who support them. Whether you're a spouse, a sibling, a parent, or a friend, you’ve seen it. You’ve lived it. You’ve stood by, often powerless, watching someone you care about try to make sense of life here after leaving everything there.
